My name is Idiakheua Oseghale Eric, I joined DHL in January 2014 as Customs Operations Specialist/Logistics coordinator, I have served in previous roles as Customer service lead and Transportation Coordinator with DHL. I worked also previously with GMT Nigeria Limited as a Senior Logistics officer from 2008 to December 2013. I have handled several job responsibilities starting from the Logistics bases.

The major responsibilities I have handled as Customs Operations Specialist/Logistics coordinator include the processing of form M, Letter of Credit and Insurance Processing; Vetting of shipping documents receipt and forwarding to the Scanning Agents; Now the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS; for Risk Assessment (RAR), now Pre Arrival Assessment Report (PAAR). Processing and payment of Import duties, Products regulation advises to Clients and Suppliers e.g. on SON, NAFDAC and NDLA; FOREX bidding and payment to supplier, Directing delivery activities at client's premises. Other documentation as well as other responsibilities that may be assigned in addition to the roles below which I have also served.
CUSTOMER SERVICE :
*Executes customer service strategic plans and reviews in resolving problems, identifying customer service trends, determining system improvements, implementing change.
*Meets customer service financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
*Determines customer service requirements by maintaining contact with customers, visiting operational environments, conducting surveys, forming focus groups, benchmarking best practices, analyzing information and applications.
*Improves customer service quality results by studying, evaluating and re-designing processes.
*Supervision of transport Personnel.
*Ensure to track routes to assure on time deliveries to enterprise customers.
*Review and arrange all transportation paperwork inclusive of driver logs, DVIR’s, trip reports and invoices.
*Review driver’s hours properly and submit apt timecards to payroll.
*Handle client concerns and direct problems to suitable parties.
*Allocation of TDOs to transporter.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics in addition to other qualifications such as, Certified Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Professional, Diploma in Accounting & Finance, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
